courier journal --- balance

Compared to some other news sources, in my opinion, I think that the Courier Journal is a reliable news source and it is a good place to find what is new and current and also what you want to hear. 

The last couple of weeks, my group has been reading the daily newspaper from the courier journal and I think that they typically have a good balance in the articles that they publish. They have a good amount of the top stories, making sure that they get the right amount of coverage but still not blowing it out of proportion. They fit in the sports people want to hear about and also the truth in some stories that involve recent events that aren't always good or what people want to hear. Readers also don't want to read the same stories over and over again but with a different headline, which is sometimes what you will see newspapers doing just because they want it to seem like they get a bunch of coverage and a ton of stories. But that doesn't show balance because they are only covering one topic. Courier shows balance because they almost always the recent crime or politics stories and a reserved sports section along with upcoming local events. Balance is a key point in having a good news source and that's why courier is so strong, because they have a strong balance in their stories.
